Research on Point Cloud Generation for CAD

This research investigates methods for generating point clouds as the foundation for shapes and CAD models. Points, represented as Cartesian coordinates, are considered the "DNA" of any shape. The project focuses on practical, human-in-the-loop approaches that minimize computational burden, eliminate dependency on commercial tools, and emphasize human creativity over black-box methods. These efforts aim to simplify the creation of point clouds and facilitate their use in CAD modeling and reverse engineering.
